Navigating Imposter Syndrome
Online Workshop

“My sincere thanks again for delivering such a helpful, warm and much-needed training resource to our Connect cohort….I met with one of our mentees yesterday…and they commented on how helpful this training was as they take on a more senior role in the industry. It was heart-warming to see their growth in confidence and to hear that they’d put some of your tools into practice, so a huge thanks for that.” Cassandra Neal, New Talent and Industry Manager, BAFTA

Overview

  • An engaging, experiential and practical online workshop designed to give participants a good understanding of Imposter Syndrome plus the means to navigate their ‘imposter’ experiences with greater awareness, confidence and trust, helping them express, fulfil and contribute more of their potential.

Who is this for?

  • I developed Navigating Imposter Syndrome to provide organisations with a means to build awareness and resilience in relation to Imposter Syndrome in a relatively short (2.5 hour) but highly impactful session.

  • The workshop has proved a very popular (client list below) and I will continue to deliver it to teams, departments and other organisational groups through 2024.

  • Beginning in 2024, I will offer Navigating Imposter Syndrome as a public workshop for the first time. This will enable anyone wanting to grow in imposter resilience and resourcefulness to benefit from this powerful and popular session.

  • I’m glad to provide an option for the many people who are interested in my annual 4-week online course (Overcoming Imposter Syndrome) but cannot afford the time or investment or both.

  • Pricing for Navigating Imposter Syndrome is shared below.

Is it for you?

    • enhance their awareness of the professional and personal situations most likely to activate their own imposter ‘symptoms’;

    • aquire practical skills, tools, models and practices which help them navigate imposter experiences creatively, compassionately and effectively;

    • explore and better understand their personal experiences of Imposter Syndrome in a safe, courageous and supportive environment;

    • ask questions and beneefit from skilled and compassionate individual and group coaching/mentoring around imposter issues which are particularly alive for them;

    • gain insight into cultural and systemic reasons why Imposter Syndrome exists and is so prevalent in our working and wider lives;

    • understand why Imposter Syndrome is a particular issue for women, racialised groups, and people from oppressed or marginalised backgrounds;

    • empower and resource themselves (and those they love, lead, manage or mentor);

    • grow in personal and professional confidence.

Join us?

  • Since 2022 I have delivered Navigating Imposter Syndrome exclusively to groups of staff within organisations. Feedback has been so positive that from May 2024, I will also be offering the workshop on a ‘public’ basis, allowing anyone who is interested to join.

  • Please join my mailing list to be kept informed about dates and early bird pricing for the first public course.

Guide to content

  • A blend of knowledge-sharing, interactive segments, self-inquiry, small group work in break-out rooms, experiential practices plus discussion with individual and group coaching/mentoring as time permits.

  • We will explore knowledge and insights from a range of disciplines and wisdom traditions plus proven skills, models and practices which cultivate imposter resilience and resourcefulness, immediately and over time.

  • Workshop content is informed by the 7 years I’ve spent exploring and teaching this phenomenon, and continues to evolve in response to emerging wisdom and practices. The session is also shaped and informed by the lived experiences of the (to date over 650) people who have engaged with my work in this area.

  • Please contact me for full details and/or an informal chat about your learning needs.

Before and after

  • Before the session, participants are sent a short preparation document featuring Group Agreements, a recommended TED talk and some optional inquiry questions to explore in advance.

  • To deepen your exploration of key themes and practices, after the workshop, I provide a curated selection of resources (books, articles, podcasts, videos, practices, guided meditations, talks, poems and more) to support your on-going journey.

Learning ethos

  • Navigating Imposter Syndrome has been designed to invite your curiosity, openness and courage in the name of your and your fellow travellers’ growth and learning.

  • We will journey together as a safe, respectful and supportive group in which we are present to each other as we share our experiences.

  • There are opportunities to share throughout. Your personal reflections and experiences are welcomed and encouraged, with no pressure to share if you do not wish to.

Group size

  • Navigating Imposter Syndome was originally developed with groups of up to 12 colleagues in mind as I wanted to allow plenty of time for inquiry, reflection, discussion and questions.

  • That said, I have run the workshop for larger groups and received encouraging feedback so I’m open to exploring how we can best work together. Please contact me to discuss your needs (without pressure or obligation).

Format

  • Navigating Imposter Syndome is facilitated as a live interactive session via Zoom;

  • The workshop lasts 2.5 hours with a short comfort break midway.
